Summer Reading List

Many students brought home a Summer Reading List that they had to complete over the summer break, or may have had to do a book report which will be collected in September. It is highly likely that many kids have still yet to complete their summer reading assignments. If this is the case in your home, here is a compilation of summer reading lists by grade: http://www.education.com/seasonal/summer-reading/ There is sure to be books that will interest your young (or older, like high school) reader and the list includes summaries and even tells you where you can purchase the books. Of course these books can lead to time well spent together reading and discussing the stories. Parents can also talk about story elements such as characters, setting, sequence, etc, with their children. Remember, September is only a few weeks away, so tell the kids to start reading!
